Beachgrass is essential to protect the dune landscape and to avoid the omnipresent wind blowing the sand away. Tourism and excessive cross-country walking over coastal dunes and moorland can destroy the sensitive surface. In some areas large plnatation with trees and heather shall help protecting the dune area. The limited edition of costal managament is to plant beachgrass.
