Using landscape pictures this time worked out as well, especially as I used a tripod and not - as often for the other panoramas - tried to do it without. The advantage was that only 11 images sufficed for a close to 360° panorama requiring less time and minimizing the artifacts caused by moving clouds and evident surge.
It was pretty cold on this winter evening on the borderline to the new year 2011, but the awesome sunset had forced me out. I had forgotten my gloves, which I regretted immediately after entering the dune tops and feeling the cold wind. The panorama and some more pictures and HDRs were worth it.
