The Paris Métro or Métropolitain is Paris' own interpretation of a subway. Offering the same interesting portfolio of characters serving observers of human behavior than other undergrounds in the world, the Metro's architectural highlights are special and varying from artistically ancient (the Metro started in 1900) to borderline modern-plastics-new-fashioned.
My favorite are the various Metro signs above ground. In the 3 days short break over Pentecost I had little time to focus on photographic opportunities. Even within this limited timeslot I was able to gather a small collection of Metro signposts.
Some of them are put into this photo collage of - or better homage to - the "Métro de Paris".
